Hearts beat Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road to stay top of the Scottish Premiership Championship group, Blair Spittal striking late after the hosts had two players sent off.

Martin Boyle put Hibernian ahead in the seventh minute, turning in Jamie McGrath's cross from a set piece.

A few minutes later, a handball by Raphael Sallinger was upgraded after a VAR review and the goalkeeper was sent off (14.).

After the restart, Hibs went down to nine when Felix Passlack received a second yellow and was sent off (48.).

Hearts levelled through a Warren O'Hora own goal (65.). Spittal then won it with a composed finish, converting Sabah Kerjota's pass from the centre of the box (86.).

Hearts carried the initiative throughout, registering 23 attempts and winning 11 corners. The Jambos also controlled 75.7% possession.

Hibs were forced back, making 45 clearances and managing four attempts. Jordan Smith, on in goal early, made five saves.
