Mika Godts struck in the 41st minute with a close-range finish, as Ajax beat NAC Breda 2-0. The forward had earlier created the opener and controlled the game with pace and end product.

Early on, Godts' cross invited Wout Weghorst to a point-blank header that Daniel Bielica saved in the sixth minute. He then slid Oscar Gloukh through for the opener (20.), setting the tone for the Godenzonen.

On a counter attack, Godts timed his run onto Weghorst's pass and tucked in from close range (41.). It capped a display built on direct running and sharp decision-making.

He later forced Bielica into another save with a low effort (79.). Godts finished with five successful dribbles, three key passes and nine possession regains. He is second in Eredivisie scoring with 16 goals, and second for assists with 11.

Because NAC Breda left space in transition, his carries and combinations repeatedly pulled markers out of shape, allowing the Godenzonen to control the key phases.
