Ole Werner's side have made a fantastic start to the season with seven wins from the first ten games, putting them in second place in the Bundesliga table.

Their excellent record is down to more than just tactics and talent, as the team have also been winning their challenges, running harder and are alert from the get-go.

A tough side to face

According to official Bundesliga statistics, our lads have won 1,066 challenges across the first ten games – the most in the league! Our top three duel winners are Yan Diomande (100 challenges won), Willi Orban (99) and Christoph Baumgartner (94).

Yan isn't just making waves in front of goal with his three goals and three assists. With 100 duels won, he ranks among the top ten players in the entire Bundesliga in this category.

You can't catch Ridle Baku

With 876 intensive runs, Ridle Baku is in a league of his own among the players in the Bundesliga. Ridle is also well up there when it comes to sprints, having made 257 so far. Only Hoffenheim's Bazoumana Toure (274) has made more sprints than the RBL right-back.

Youngest team in the league

Ole Werner has called upon 24 different players across the opening ten games of the campaign. With an average age of just 24.3 years old per game, we are the youngest team in the whole of the Bundesliga.

Quickest out the blocks

"We've got a lot of energy this season and everyone is fully committed," said David Raum on his team's start to the campaign. The numbers speak for themselves: five of the 20 goals Leipzig have scored this season have come in the opening quarter of an hour – no other Bundesliga side has scored more often in that time period.

David Raum creates chances like no other

With 30 chances created, David Raum is the league's top playmaker. He also ranks top ten in the league for crosses from open play with 22. His teammates are looking to take a leaf out of their captain's book too: "David's crosses are really good - I'm almost jealous of him. I look up to him as a role model," explained Ridle Baku.

Blink and you'll miss it!

It's neck-and-neck in the race for the title of fastest player in the league between Yan Diomande and Union Berlin's Oliver Burke. The former RBL winger has clocked the top speed so far at 36.01 km/h, with our rising star marginally slower at 35.98 km/h
