FLW's Stoke fan pundit has given his verdict on a potential move for Thelo Aasgaard this summer

Stoke City could make another attempt to sign Thelo Aasgaard this summer following Luton Town’s relegation to League One.
The Norwegian joined the Hatters in the January transfer window from Wigan Athletic but had been linked with a switch to the Potters.
The 23-year-old was recently told by his international manager, Stale Solbakken, that he needs to get out of Kenilworth Road after the club dropped out of the Championship in order to remain in his plans with the Norweigan national side.
Aasgard himself has revealed that "it's hard to say" whether he will remain at Luton come August, too. This has led to some uncertainty over his future with Luton, which could open the door for Mark Robins’ side to swoop in and sign him.
When asked about a potential move for Aasgaard, FLW’s Stoke fan pundit Sam Harrison urged the club to be all over it.
He believes that the 23-year-old can provide a level of creativity that Robins’ side will need, especially if players like Million Manhoef and Bae Junho leave.
“I think Stoke should be all over it, there’s already rumours, you’ve got links that Stoke are back interested, obviously they were interested in him in January prior to his move to Luton,” Harrison told Football League World.
“In terms of players that Stoke could lose, Manhoef, Junho, you’re losing that quality, that creativity, and I think creativity is one of the huge, huge things Stoke just miss so much out of.
“And I think last season we didn’t see enough, and I think with who Stoke could lose, this could be a great signing for us, it really, really could, we should be all over it.
“I think it will be exactly what Mark Robins will want.
“I just think it’s one where, if we can get it done early doors, if the price is right, it is genuinely going to be a great statement of intent that says ‘do you know what, we’re not having another season like we have had in the Championship, we’re bringing in quality, we’re finding the right players and it really is going to show that Mark Robins is going to steady the ship’.
“And I think a signing like that would be absolutely superb.”
Harrison would be happy to see Aasgaard join the club this summer, and is hopeful he could develop into a quality part of the side long-term.
“A player of his quality who is going to learn, is going to progress even further, I think would just be really good,” he added.
“And I just think in terms of the outgoings that Stoke could have, I think that being one of the first incomings would be huge.
“So I think Stoke should be all over it, I think it will be very competitive for him and I think we’re a number of Championship clubs who will be going for him.
“But what I do think is that Stoke are desperately light for quality and creativity in that attacking midfield area, to produce moments of magic or link-up, and I think he could absolutely bring that.
“It’s already rumoured that we are linked with him, so I think Stoke will and should absolutely be all over it.
“And I think it would be an absolutely superb fit for the club.
“For a new season bringing him in, as well as other signings, I think that’s just such a great statement from the club.”
Stoke finished 18th in the Championship table last season, two points clear of the relegation zone.
It was a very underwhelming campaign for the Potters, so it is clear that they need to improve their squad this summer.
A lot of resources have been wasted on players that haven’t been worth it, so they will need to be especially considerate with their recruitment in this transfer window.
Aasgaard certainly possesses the kind of creativity that the team has lacked, so could work out as a very smart addition.
He made a strong impression in the Championship in spite of Luton's relegation, registering two goals and an assist from 17 appearances.
