Strasbourg confirm loan deals for Aaron Anselmino and David Datro Fofana from Chelsea

Strasbourg announced on Monday evening the loan arrivals of Argentine centre-back Aaron Anselmino, 20, and forward David Datro Fofana, 23, from Chelsea. Both are due to stay until the end of the season.

Both clubs share BlueCo ownership.

Anselmino, previously of Boca Juniors, spent the first half of the campaign at Borussia Dortmund, making 10 appearances and scoring once, before Chelsea ended that loan.

Fofana, an Ivory Coast international, has previously been loaned to Union Berlin, Burnley and in Türkiye since joining Chelsea in 2023. He now moves into another league.

In the opposite direction, defender Mamadou Sarr has returned to Chelsea. Strasbourg’s captain for most of his autumn outings, he made 18 appearances for the club in 2025-2026 before his loan was cancelled, as previously announced.
