Strasbourg host Lens in Ligue 1 on Friday, 27 February 2026 at Stade de la Meinau, with the visitors second in the table and the hosts seventh as both target momentum for a title push and a European bid respectively.
Strasbourg's recent meetings with Lens have been tight: the last 13 listed fixtures show five home wins, five away wins and three draws, while Lens edged the reverse fixture 1-0 in November 2025.
Form points to a live contest. Strasbourg beat Lyon 3-1 last time out after a draw at Marseille and a narrow defeat at Le Havre, having also won 4-1 at Lille in January. Lens had rattled off four straight league wins, including 5-0 at Paris FC and 3-1 against Rennes, before a 3-2 home loss to Monaco.
In terms of availability, Strasbourg list Emanuel Emegha as injured. Lens have Regis Gurtner, Ruben Aguilar, Jonathan Gradit, Samson Baidoo and Kyllian Antonio sidelined.
The match-up could hinge on Le Racing's balance against Lens' control. Strasbourg have scored 39 goals in 23 matches, with Joaquín Panichelli second in the Ligue 1 scoring chart on 13 and supply from Guéla Doué (five assists), Valentín Barco and Diego Moreira (four each). Lens have 44 goals and only 20 conceded, with Odsonne Edouard (nine) and Florian Thauvin (seven) supported by creators Adrien Thomasson and Matthieu Udol (six assists each).
A win would lift Le Racing to 37 points and could nudge them towards the European places. Three points for Lens would take them to 55 and could move them above leaders PSG, strengthening their title challenge.
