One of VfB Stuttgart’s rumored incoming transfers should be confirmed shortly. Stuttgart head coach Sebastian Hoeneß specifically referenced Real Madrid prospect Chema Andrés imminent arrival while speaking to reports after a Saturday friendly. The Spanish youth international gets set to move to the Bundesliga on a €3m transfer. Hoeneß told reporters “I assume [the move] will go through”.
Andrés made two La Liga and one Copa del Ray appearance with the Real senior team last season. The 19-year-old is thought to be in Baden-Württemberg to complete his medical today. After Lazar Jovanovic and Noah Darvich, Andrés will be the third teenage talent signed by the Swabians this summer.
The Cannstatter have spent a combined €9m on the trio. Darvich was also brought in from a La Liga outfit, FC Barcelona. At present, Stuttgart are running an estimated €12.35m summer transfer deficit.
This could be easily swung into the black by the completion of Enzo Millot’s sale to Atletico Madrid. It is not known whether Stuttgart pocketed any money from the sale of Colombian striker Juan José Perea earlier today.
