The latest updates in Italy claim that Crysencio Summerville is still yet to make a final decision on his next career steps, despite a staggering contract offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, which many thought had blown Roma out of the water.

Roma have made no secret of the fact that they are targeting the signing of a new star attacker this summer, first eyeing a move for Mason Greenwood before moving into negotiations with West Ham for Summerville.

The Giallorossi had been hoping to secure a deal in the region of €50m for Summerville this summer and had reportedly been willing to offer the Netherlands international a salary in the region of €4m per season.

However, on Tuesday, it looked as though Roma’s attempts had been rendered pointless, as Al-Hilal have reportedly tabled a salary offer worth €15m per year over a four-year contract as well as a transfer package in the region of €70m-€80m for West Ham.

However, despite this monstrous offer from the Saudi Pro League side, the latest updates in Italy claim that Summerville has not yet given his final approval to the move.

According to updates from Alfredo Pedullà, the winger is still weighing up his options: A potential once-in-a-lifetime salary offer in Saudi Arabia, or the opportunity to continue playing in one of Europe’s top five leagues and in the Champions League with Roma in 2026-27.

Either way, Pedullà reports that a decision will be made swiftly, potentially within the next few hours.
