Sunderland goalkeeper Isaac Allan is closing in on another loan move to Hebburn Town after impressing in their promotion-winning campaign. According to Sunderland Echo, discussions are ongoing between the clubs over a fresh temporary deal.

The former Lincoln City youngster shone during a successful spell with the Hornets last season, playing a key role as they won the Northern Premier League title and sealed promotion to National League North.

A return would allow him to continue his development at a higher level in a familiar set-up where he is already established.

The move also suits Sunderland, with regular competitive minutes viewed as vital for young goalkeepers. Allan would train within the club’s academy during the week while testing himself consistently in senior football.

Hebburn are preparing for the demands of National League North and are keen to bring Allan back as part of their plans.

No agreement has been finalised, but talks are progressing over a second spell at Hebburn. Allan remains highly regarded at the Academy of Light after his performances in last season’s title-winning run.
