From promotion pushes to setbacks, Sunderland’s loanees are having mixed campaigns across Europe and the EFL this season.

Sunderland Echo notes several Black Cats out on loan. Simon Adingra’s January loan to Monaco has yielded three goals in 10 games and Champions League play-off minutes against Paris Saint-Germain.

Anthony Patterson has three clean sheets in seven for Millwall and is first choice. At Ipswich Town, Dan Neil has 10 appearances, and there has been speculation it could become permanent when his deal expires.

Jenson Seelt has 10 outings for Wolfsburg, with a knee injury and illness limiting him lately. At Lens, Arthur Masuaku has played twice and was sent off during the warm-up before a Coupe de France quarter-final at Lyon.

Timothee Pembele has seven games for Le Havre, while Leo Hjelde is rebuilding after injury with five appearances for Sheffield United.

Alan Browne’s Middlesbrough loan has brought 33 appearances, four goals and one assist as Kim Hellberg’s side push for promotion. Aji Alese has only one substitute outing for Portsmouth after a serious groin injury in February’s 1-0 defeat at Preston.

Zak Johnson has 20 games for York City and scored in a 3-0 at Wealdstone. At Morierense, Luis Semedo has scored twice and has alternated between starts and the bench.

Niall Huggins has 20 appearances for Wycombe, seven starts. Nazariy Rusyn has four goals in 21 outings for Arka Gdynia.
