Sunderland will open a new official club store at The Bridges on Friday, returning to the city centre after a long absence. The club have confirmed doors open at nine am on 12 June with a launch for supporters.
Mascots Samson and Delilah will attend, the first customer will receive a gift, and there will be giveaways, including a Spin-to-Win Wheel with hospitality tickets and signed shirts among the prizes.
The outlet, in the former Fashion Bible unit opposite Next, complements the Stadium of Light shop. It is the first city-centre store since the Debenhams concession closed.
The move comes as Sunderland ride momentum from a seventh-place Premier League finish and Europa League qualification after a 2-1 win over Chelsea, their first European campaign in more than 50 years.
The 2026-27 training wear, made with Hummel, also launches in-store from nine am, ahead of home, away and third kits arriving this summer. The club has hinted the away kit carries a special American connection, with a pre-season tour of the United States later this summer. The Bridges shop adds a wider gifting range, while the Stadium of Light site remains the flagship. The opening will also create jobs at the new store.
Club marketing head Terry Stephenson said the priority is being where supporters are, and that working with Fanatics provides two stores fans can be proud of. Fanatics executive Pamela Morrow said they aim to enhance the retail experience at both locations, while The Bridges centre director Darene Eve welcomed the addition ahead of the new season.
