Sunderland’s final days of the January window could still reshape the squad, with confirmed departures and another possible exit leaving room for late movement.

According to Sunderland Echo, Dan Neil and Arthur Masuaku have departed, and Anthony Patterson could yet follow, giving Régis Le Bris greater flexibility to adjust his group. Late reinforcements in wide areas, and possibly in goal, remain an option.

With talks ongoing, there is no suggestion of imminent deals. Any additions are likely to depend on further outgoings, with opportunistic late business possible if the right openings arise.

Jonas Omlin has been linked as a potential arrival, but only if a deal is struck that allows Patterson to leave.

Robin Roefs has established himself as Le Bris’s first-choice goalkeeper and will not be leaving in January.

Simon Moore remains an important part of the goalkeeping group, providing experience and influence behind the scenes.

Dennis Cirkin is back to full fitness and has entered the final six months of his contract.
