Sutton United, in Sutton Coldfield, have paid tribute to long-serving player Jack Skinner after his death from cancer earlier this month. The club said in a statement that his loss would be felt deeply.
Skinner died on Wednesday, 3 June. He spent several seasons in the first team before moving to neighbours Boldmere St Michael’s, then returned to play for multiple sides and run a junior team.

Funeral arrangements will be shared when available, with future events in his memory to follow. He was hailed as a club legend. "Sleep, tight, mate."
