According to the PSxG index, Mile Svilar should have conceded eleven goals in the first eleven league games.
How did the Roma goalkeeper halve this figure and concede only five? “Simple,” with some extraordinary saves.
The Giallorossi’s number 99, writes Il Corriere dello Sport, holds European record numbers.
A staggering 17 clean sheets in 2025 and only 16 goals conceded: no team in the top five leagues has recorded better numbers in the last two years.
This season, only Arsenal are managing to keep pace with Gasperini’s side, and Arteta’s men have also conceded five goals in the Premier League so far.
Furthermore, the Post Shot Expected Goals indicator—the indicator that measures the probability of a shot converting into a goal—tells us that out of 37 shots conceded, Roma should have conceded 9.3 goals, almost double the number they actually conceded.
Mile’s save rate is 86.5%, confirming his current value: at the end of last season, he was named Serie A’s best goalkeeper, and the Serbian is building on last year’s feat to confirm his feat once again.
