Corinthians’ women are on a World Cup hiatus, but full-back Tamires has outlined how the squad will keep working while on leave.

According to Meu Timao, the No 37 posted on social media a programme drawn up by the club’s Health and Performance Unit, featuring jogs, gym work and mobility drills, with individual plans apparent in the video.

The squad began their break on 10 June and have two weeks before reporting back at CT Joaquim Grava.

Before the recess, Corinthians played the United States under-23s twice and lost both matches. Their last official outing was on 30 May, a win over Palmeiras at Allianz Parque that secured progression in the Copa do Brasil.

They are due to learn their last-16 opponents in a draw scheduled for Monday.

After the break ends on 25 June, the players will have about three weeks to prepare for domestic action to resume. The next fixture is set for 17 July against Ferroviária in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista.

Tamires will also be on TV duty during the recess, appearing as a pundit on Globo’s Radar da Copa alongside presenter Tadeu Schmidt and comedian Fábio Porchat.
