Impressive performances in the tournament so far

Tanikawa has impressed with some strong performances so far and scored in both the 2–0 opening win against Taiwan and the 7–0 thrashing of the Philippines. She's also excelled as a provider with a total of two assists – most recently in the semi-final against South Korea, when her pinpoint corner found former Bayern player Saki Kumagai. It means Tanikawa has been one of the key players in the national side’s attacking game.

Good luck, Momo – the whole of FC Bayern is behind you and everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for you in the final!
