Tarik Muharemovic targets goals for Leeds after £34m move | OneFootball

Tarik Muharemovic says he wants to add goals as well as defensive steel for Leeds United after joining from Sassuolo.

"Yes, I scored two goals. Obviously I love to score goals so I am trying always - corners, maybe even sometimes trying to shoot. But I love to score." He told LUTV.

Unveiled as United's second signing last week, the 23-year-old joined for £34m, two weeks after Pascal Struijk left for Brighton in a £20m deal.

He will be asked to tighten a back line that conceded 56 in 38 league games last season, although it kept clean sheets in four of the last nine on the way to survival and 14th.

The six-foot-four centre-back arrives on the back of a 2025-26 Serie A campaign for Sassuolo in which he scored two and recorded one assist.

"I was born in Slovenia, lived my whole life in Austria and then I moved the first time out of home was Italy. I lived there for five years. But I love it. That's my job and I am really happy to be now in England."
