Football League World takes a look at 3 QPR players who could follow Ilias Chair out of Loftus Road this summer

Queens Park Rangers could look to cash in on Ilias Chair this summer, because of his persistent injury problems this season.

Chair is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Championship when he is on form, but he produced a poor return of just two goals last term, and has been unable to have any sort of real impact since Julien Stephan arrived at Loftus Road.

The 28-year-old's lack of fitness has contributed to the fact that the R's have been inconsistent this season, and there's a feeling across the Championship that a talent like Chair might well need a fresh start to finally realise his potential as one of the division's top players.

Meanwhile, to help his side launch a more serious play-off bid next season, QPR boss Stephan will be keen to oversee a busy transfer window this summer.

With that in mind, Football League World has taken a look at three players who could leave Loftus Road alongside Chair ahead of next term.

Sam Field

Sam Field is currently on loan at Norwich City, having fallen out of favour with Stephan in West London.

The Canaries have been in better form than QPR in recent weeks and months, while Field started for the Norfolk outfit in their Championship encounters with Oxford United, Birmingham City, Leicester City and Sheffield United, notching an assist against the Foxes in the process.

However, Field regularly failed to nail down a starting spot for the R's this term, and could seek a permanent move away from Loftus Road in the summer.

The 27-year-old initially joined QPR on loan from West Bromwich Albion in February 2021, and joined the West London outfit permanently the following summer.

Paul Nardi

The goalkeeper spot has been a problematic position for Stephan this season, as he has rotated between Paul Nardi, Joe Walsh, and Ben Hamer.

Nardi and Walsh have both featured significantly more than Hamer, but the 24-year-old has been favoured over the Frenchman since the turn of the year.

The 31-year-old's R's contract is set to expire this summer, and his lack of involvement in recent months should prompt him to walk away from Loftus Road as a free agent.

Meanwhile, QPR have endured one of the worst defensive records in the Championship this term, and Stephan must be eager to acquire a new goalkeeper.

Kealey Adamson

Kealey Adamson joined the R's from Australian club Macarthur last summer, but he hasn't proven himself as a capable player at Championship level.

The right-back notched two goals and three assists for Macarthur in the 2024/25 season, suggesting that he could be an asset for Stephan's men both in an attacking sense and defensively.

However, he has often been named as an unused substitute, indicating that Stephan doesn't believe the 23-year-old is ready for the second tier of English football yet.

When Adamson joined the R's, he told the club website: "I'm lucky I've got an engine, I've got pace to be able to get forward, join the attack a lot when I can and still be able to come back and be disciplined in defence."

However, thanks to a lack of game time, the former Sydney man hasn't been able to show those qualities in QPR colours.

Consequently, Adamson could be sent on loan by the West Londoners this summer, while League One sides could be interested in his services despite his Championship struggles.
