One player who seemed certain to leave Manchester City this summer was Jack Grealish. The England international did appear to be surplus to requirements at City. Grealish had a frustrating 24/25 season. He couldn’t stay fit, nor could he establish himself as a first-team regular for Pep Guardiola’s side. Grealish was also below his best during the 23/24 season. It does appear that Grealish’s time at Manchester City has run its course.

Now a new report indicates that Jack Grealish believes that staying at City could be the best move for him. So could he remain a member of Pep Guardiola’s squad for next season? It would be a major surprise if Grealish didn’t leave City this summer. As if he stays it’s hard to see where he’d fit into Pep Guardiola’s squad for next season.

Is there a possibility that Jack Grealish could stay at City for the 25/26 season?

It isn’t a surprise to learn that Jack Grealish is contemplating staying at Manchester City. The England international is a beloved member of the City squad. He is loved by his teammates and Pep Guardiola always speaks highly of him. But to stay at City Grealish has to do more on the pitch. The reality is that Jack Grealish is a £100 million player. That price that comes with expectations on Grealish’s performances. He hasn’t lived up to those expectations despite his strong 22/23 season.

Is there a scenario where Jack Grealish stays at Manchester City for next season? There definitely is. If no club comes in for the winger he will remain at City. If that comes to fruition the challenge will be for Grealish to become a prominent player for Pep Guardiola’s side. That will be no easy task. Omar Marmoush and Jeremy Doku look to be Manchester City’s first options for the left wing role. Grealish would have to force his past those two players to become an important player for City. There doesn’t seem to be room in City’s midfield for Grealish either. If he remains at City for next season he will have to make the left wing position his own. Whether or not Grealish can do that remains to be seen.

For that scenario to play out Jack Grealish will have to remain at Manchester City for next season. As Rory Smith reports the England international is contemplating such a move. For the majority of this summer it seemed that Grealish would leave Manchester City. Now it seems he may not which is a story to watch for before the transfer window closes.
