Chelsea are expected to complete a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jamie Gittens with the clubs not that far apart in valuation according to Ben Jacobs.
The Blues have already completed the signing of Liam Delap for £30m from Ipswich and more new faces are expected to follow.
Chelsea are set for a busy window and are looking to sign a versatile forward, left winger and centre back to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
There’s set to be plenty of movement in the wides areas with Chelsea thought to be open to offers for Noni Madueke, whilst Jadon Sancho has left the club.
Estevao Willian will join after the Club World Cup, whilst Geovany Quenda will join from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2026.
Chelsea have identified Gittens as their main target on the left wing and wanted to sign him in time for the Club World Cup.

The Blues had multiple bids rejected for Gittens on Tuesday, and he’s part of Dortmund’s squad for the tournament in America.
It’s thought Chelsea could submit a new proposal for Gittens in the coming days and Jacobs has now had his say on the potential transfer.
“Eventually, this deal is expected to get done because Gittens wants to move, and they [Chelsea and BVB] are not actually far apart as some had suggested,” he told The Football Terrace.
“We heard €70m or more, but the number I’m told is €55m, up by €5m from what Chelsea originally thought would get the deal done. And it’s not just the number but the structure of that deal as well.”
Gittens scored 12 goals for Dortmund last season and has agreed personal terms on a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Gittens isn’t the only player from the Bundesliga on Chelsea’s radar and the Blues are thought to have made an approach for Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade.
