Milan Primavera bounced back. They got their second win of the season after beating Lecce on Matchday 1: 2-0 was the final result, sealed by an in-form Lorenzo Ossola's penalty, before he then turned provider for Castiello's goal. It was an important, and deserved win, without conceding, coming after the international break and a run of two straight defeats. Renna's side were well-organised, and they didn't give much away to Cagliari, finding their attacking threat in the second half, when the two all-important goals were scored.
The two finalists of last season's Primavera Coppa Italia met at the CRAI Sports Center in Assemini. After a very balanced and contained first half, the game was more entertaining in the second period, largely thanks to the Rossoneri getting into the lead through Ossola's penalty, before he then set up Castiello for our second. Overall, it was a great performance and a great reaction from our boys, doing well to get out of a bad run in terms of results. They will be back in action, on Saturday, against Frosinone at 13:00 CEST.

MATCH REPORT The Rossoneri started on the front foot, but Cagliari were a bit unlucky, forced into swapping out Siddi after just five minutes. After a period of sizing each other up, Cagliari had a chance in the 21st minute with Malfitano trying his luck from distance: Longoni denied him with a great stop. The Rossoneri then looked to respond through Castiello in the 33rd minute, who aimed for the near post, but saw his effort deflected away for a corner. In the 41st minute, Longoni pushed away Grandu's effort on the turn. In the 44th minute, Castiello found the back of the net, but there was a foul on the edge of the box in the build-up. After four minutes of stoppage time, we went into half time at 0-0. There were no changes during the break. In the 54th minute, Ossola did brilliantly well to get past Nuvoli and earn himself a penalty. From the spot, it was indeed Ossola who stepped up and beat Kehayov, putting AC Milan in front in the 55th minute. The Rossoneri doubled their lead not long after, with another great bit of play from Ossola: he flicked it into the path of Castiello who picked his spot from the edge of the box and made it 2-0. The Sardinians reacted, and in the 72nd minute, Longoni made two great stops, before Mendy found the net, but from an offside position. Once again, Castiello with a chance, in the 80th minute, but Kehayov was equal to it and prevented a third for the Rossoneri. And that was the end of it, we win 2-0!
POST-MATCH REACTION Renna: "It was a match that we dominated from the first minute, we had 4/5 goal-scoring opportunities and we kept Cagliari at bay. I want to praise the boys as they gave their all, both those who started and those who came on, they gave us energy to win the game. Two more boys made their debut, Tartaglia and Nolli, and they did really well, as did Zaramella and Cissé who came on after. The young lads are growing day by day and they deserve praise. Now we're focusing on Frosinone". MATCH DETAILS
