Nico Paz is shining for Como this season and it’s expected that the Argentine will return to Real Madrid in the summer.
Como are flying under Cesc Fabregas as the Azzurri have been steadily among the contenders for a European spot in 2025-26.
Their results have been beyond impressive despite a recent 4-0 loss away at Inter, but one thing to consider for online betting is that Como are particularly dangerous at home, where they have collected 15 points in seven games, remaining unbeaten with four wins and three draws.

Fabregas’ men beat Juventus and held Napoli to a 0-0 draw when the Serie A giants travelled to the lake earlier this season, and have had in Argentine star Nico Paz their best player so far.
A product of the Real Madrid academy, Nico Paz joined Como on a permanent deal in the summer of 2024, but the Merengues have an option to re-sign him until 2027.
Reputable Italian sources, including Football Italia’s Alfredo Pedullà, report that Paz is destined to return to the Spanish capital in 2026-27.
Nico Paz has grabbed five goals and five assists in his opening 14 Serie A matches this term, contributing to at least one goal in seven matches.
With such stats, it’s not surprising that the 21-year-old has been among the top three performers in the league in the first half of the season, according to average player ratings from Italian sports papers (via Fantacalcio).
Como and Serie A fans will continue to watch Paz in action until the end of the 2025-26 season as the Argentine’s return to Madrid in the January window is not on the cards.

“There’s nothing to say, he’s a Como player and will stay with us,” Fabregas said at a press conference at the end of November.
“Then it depends on what the other club decides. I won’t rule out that Nico stays here next season too. He’s ambitious, and he can have a big career in football, but why can’t he do it here at Como? He’s made us grow, and vice versa. You can see it. You can see if a person is happy from their eyes, and I think that he’s happy here right now.”
Nico Paz was named the Serie A Rising Star of the Month for both August and September 2025. In other words, the best U23 player in the league in the first two months of the current campaign.
Whether or not his performances will lead Como to a European placement this season remains to be seen, but surely Nico Paz is destined to return to Real Madrid sooner rather than later.
