One manager has sent a defiant message to fans and his players after losing this week, claiming they can beat Chelsea.
Chelsea face a very different kind of a challenge tonight in a game that will be very unpredictable but in all honesty, they should be looking to win comfortably.
Enzo Maresca’s side face Noah in the Europa Conference League, a club from Armenia who are very unknown and only formed in 2019.
These types of games can sometimes present a potential banana skin, however, Chelsea playing at home at Stamford Bridge and the sheer quality they have, should find no issues in breezing through in this game.
Then the games get tougher for Maresca, as Arsenal come to The Bridge on Sunday afternoon for our next Premier League game.
Chelsea will deep down though, feel that this might be a good time to face The Gunners, because they are in a bit of a rough patch of form at the moment. That can quite often though, be a positive or a negative thing.
Arteta confident going to Chelsea
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was defiant in defeat last night after seeing his team lose 1-0 against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Even though they lost that game, and also recent games against Bournemouth and Newcastle, Arteta is clear that they can go to Chelsea and win on Sunday.
In words cited on X, Arteta said after the Inter defeat:
“The way we played tonight, we can go to Chelsea, we can win.”
Well of course they can, we know anything can happen in football. But Chelsea should be feeling a bit more confidence after their own recent matches and form this season, form that has seen them currently get ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League.
Even still, it will be a very tough match for both sides.
