Ange Postecoglou has been Nottingham Forest manager for four games and is yet to register a win, but he says he has no doubt the wins will come.

Forest played their first Europa League game this week and were leading Real Betis 2-1 in the 85th minute before ex-Manchester United winger Antony scored and the game finished 2-2.

Postecoglou has overseen losses against Arsenal and Swansea as well as draws with Burnley and Betis, but he is confident the team can start winning.

“I’m just disappointed that the players and supporters don’t get the rewards for our efforts. I’ve just got to make sure they keep their heads up because there’s plenty to be positive about and the wins will come.”

Despite the disappointing result, the Australian was still pleased with the football he saw from his side.

“I just thought some of the football we played was outstanding and this group of players have been really receptive to what we’re trying to do. We’re just lacking that little bit of clinical edge to finish games off.

“We are in the results business and ultimately we need to now convert our good play into victories, but I think that’ll come if we keep playing like that.”

Forest still have seven group stage games left to give themselves the best chance of qualifying into the knockout rounds of the competition.

A clear positive for Postecoglou and the club was that they scored twice, both goals via Igor Jesus who became the first player to score twice on his major European competition debut for Forest.
