Will FC Bayern transfer a player to another Bundesliga club? Contact has already been made, but a deal could prove complicated.

Arijon Ibrahimovic could leave FC Bayern permanently this summer. Werder Bremen is now one Bundesliga club that has expressed concrete interest in the offensive talent.

Ibrahimovic’s future remains one of the more intriguing personnel issues at FC Bayern. After the 20-year-old spent last season on loan at 1. FC Heidenheim, his next move could be just around the corner.

According to BILD, Werder Bremen is actively pursuing a deal to sign the German U21 national team player. The report states that contact has already taken place between Werder Bremen and the Bayern player’s representatives.

Werder is looking to strengthen its offense

Following a disappointing Bundesliga season in which they scored just 37 goals, Werder is currently working hard to bolster its offense. Several new forwards have already been signed, yet the Bremen club continues to seek additional quality.

Ibrahimovic is said to be of particular interest due to his versatility. The attacking player can be deployed both in central attacking midfield and on the wings, and he gained valuable Bundesliga experience last season.

Playing for Heidenheim, the Nuremberg native appeared in 32 competitive matches, scored two goals, and set up four more. Despite the team’s relegation, Ibrahimovic was one of the team’s standout players.

A loan is likely not an option

However, a move to Bremen is proving difficult at the moment. According to information from BILD, a permanent transfer would be financially unfeasible for Werder. Ibrahimovic’s market value is currently estimated at around ten million euros.

Another loan deal also appears to be out of the question. Since his contract with FC Bayern expires in 2027, a loan deal would likely only be possible after a prior contract extension.

However, that is precisely what the forward is said to have no interest in. Instead, Ibrahimovic wants to sign a long-term contract with a club in the future and, after several stints, finally settle down permanently.

At FC Bayern, Ibrahimovic was considered one of the greatest offensive talents from an early age. He made his Bundesliga debut as early as 2023, becoming the second-youngest Bundesliga player in the club’s history at the time, behind Paul Wanner. He then gained experience on loan in Serie A with Frosinone and Lazio Rome, and most recently with Heidenheim.
