Thomas Müller says Bayern should take a close look at Johan Manzambi

Thomas Müller picked out Johan Manzambi for praise after scoring twice in Switzerland’s 4-1 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina in Group B of the 2026 World Cup.

“Manzambi is a good player overall,” said the former Bayern star. He told Magenta TV.

“For me, he's someone – and now we can make a headline – For me, he's someone that FC Bayern should take a close look at,” he added.

“He's a player who can play as a number 6, he can play as a number 8, he can play as a number 10. He has the number 9 on his back, so maybe we can also sell him as a striker,” he said.

The SC Freiburg midfielder has been heavily linked with a move this summer, and said as far back as May that his future was up in the air.

Whether Bayern act remains unclear, with the club close to signing Ismael Saibari. SSC Napoli are also keen on the 20-year-old.
