According to Diario Do Peixe, goalkeeper João Paulo and forwards Gustavo Caballero and Billal Brahimi could return to Santos when their loans expire on 30 June.
João Paulo may be the only one to rejoin immediately, with the club planning to sell first-choice Gabriel Brazão and the keeper enjoying the backing of coach Cuca and goalkeeping coach Arzul.
Loaned to Bahia in August last year with performance triggers including a purchase obligation, João Paulo failed to nail down a place. Bahia opted against a permanent deal, he did not play there in 2025, then featured in six Baiano games early this year and two Série A appearances. His Santos contract runs to the end of 2027.
Caballero is with Paraguay at the World Cup, and the club are monitoring his displays with potential market moves in mind. He joined Portsmouth on loan in February, scoring one goal in 12 Championship appearances, and is tied to Santos until 23 July 2027.
For Brahimi, the understanding during his loan was that Santos would cover his full wages and, mid-year, discuss terminating his deal with the legal department. Loaned to Estrela Amadora in February, he played four times in Liga Portugal. His Santos contract expires at the end of this year.
