Not long remains for the FIFA World Cup, and Brazil is one of the many nations looking to make a comeback statement this time around.
After all, they have been one of the underperforming heavyweights in the competition for a while now, and there is a real sense of pressure around the Selecao to deliver this time.
As part of their bid to go all the way in this year’s World Cup, Carlo Ancelotti was named the manager of the Brazilian NT and has started well with the team.
Now, as reported by ESPN Brazil (h/t The Madrid Zone), Ancelotti has been working on his final World Cup squad for a while now and has already reached a point where the majority of the travelling players are selected.
Of the total 26-member list he must release, Ancelotti already has 18 players who are practically guaranteed a place and several Real Madrid stars find themselves in the mix.

Vinicius Jr, undoubtedly, is one of the players guaranteed a place in the team for the World Cup, and deservedly so given how he is one of the sport’s biggest difference makers. His Real Madrid teammate Rodrygo also finds himself guaranteed a place.
The third Real Madrid player guaranteed a spot in the squad is Eder Militao who has suffered from recurrent injuries in recent years and is currently out of action as well.
Despite his fitness, however, Ancelotti rates him highly and will award him a place.
Needless to say, however, the places in the team for all three Real Madrid players will finally boil down to them staying fit and injury-free.
As it stands, there is no place for Endrick in the squad yet. Moreover, with eight forwards already guaranteed a place and other departments relatively short-staffed, it appears difficult for him to squeeze his way into the squad.
However, considering the form that the youngster has shown since joining Lyon on loan in January, nothing can be ruled out.
