He is under contract until 2028. Last season he spent a loan spell at Nice, making 25 appearances, 11 as a starter, and scoring two goals, both against Go Ahead Eagles in the Europa League.

After the loan ended, Nice chose not to trigger an eight million euros option to buy, and he returned to Benfica.

On the right wing, Gianluca Prestianni and Dodi Lukebakio are currently ahead of him, although Lukebakio's future remains open.

If used at right-back, he would have to compete with Amar Dedić, Alexander Bah and Daniel Banjaqui.
