West Ham are hoping to agree a deal to sign Mads Hermansen today from Leicester City.

It’s been widely understood and anticipated that the club would bring in a new goalkeeper following the release of Lukasz Fabianski at the end of last season, whilst the form of Areola this summer is a concern for Graham Potter.

With the club set to take part in our final Summer Series pre-season fixture against Bournemouth this Sunday, West Ham have been working behind the scenes in terms of player recruitment, with a new goalkeeper high on the list.

Hermansen is a player both Potter and his Head of Recruitment Kyle Macaulay have been eager to bring in, with new goalkeeping coach Casper Ankergren keen to be reunited with the player he developed whilst at Brondby.

We now understand that talks are reaching a conclusion, as both West Ham and Leicester City look set to agree on a figure to allow Hermansen to return to the Premier League this summer, with a switch to east London something he is keen on.

Personal terms are not said to be an issue, as the club look to secure another major signing this summer.
