In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are facing stiff competition for Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi. It has been revealed that Spurs would have to compete with Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa in the race to sign the Argentine talent later this summer.
The 28-year-old is having a solid campaign at the English club as he has produced a run of dominant performances at the heart of their backline. Senesi has been involved in 33 matches for Bournemouth this season, securing one assist in the process across all competitions.
The Argentine defensive ace has proven himself to be a consistent performer in the Premier League. Thus, Spurs would do well to lure him to North London at the end of this campaign.
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out this summer, which could open the door for Tottenham to snap him up on a free transfer later this year.

Senesi can scan the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He is a solid tackler of the ball and doesn’t mind clearing his lines when required.
Standing at 1.84m, the Argentine sensation can use his powerful frame to win a few 50-50 aerial duels for his team on the defensive end of the field. He excels at playing his way out from the back. Senesi has already proven himself in the Premier League. Hence, he would be a safe bet for Spurs to make this summer.
We can expect Senesi to bring more bite and steel to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s defence. He has what it takes to challenge for regular first-team football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 28, Senesi is playing in his prime and is on an expiring contract. Thus, he would be a great fit for the North London club’s needs this off-season. The Argentine might even help Spurs get back to challenging for a European spot in the Premier League. All in all, De Zerbi would be wise to go all out to bring Senesi to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the upcoming transfer window.
