Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a summer deal for Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford, according to the Independent journalist Miguel Delaney.
They have signed Martin Dubravka, but manager Roberto De Zerbi wants one more goalie as Guglielmo Vicario is set to leave.
Spurs currently have Antonin Kinsky as their first-choice, but they want quality competition. Trafford is on their radar.
The 23-year-old England international is currently at the World Cup but has yet to make an appearance.
Tottenham are pushing for a deal, as the Man City star is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium after playing second fiddle to Gianluigi Donnarumma last term.
However, it is unclear whether Trafford will be open to joining the Lilywhites as he is not guaranteed a place in the starting XI.
Signing him will be huge for Spurs as they could end up having three goalkeepers capable of becoming the first choice next season.
They are already closing in on a move for West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes. He is reportedly having his medical at Tottenham’s training ground today.
De Zerbi has already strengthened his defence with the additions of Dubravka, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke.
Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali could join Fernandes if a deal can be struck, and attacking reinforcements are also targeted.
