In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a keen eye on Como playmaker Nico Paz this summer. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Argentine talent this off-season.

Paz’s Impressive Rise In Serie A

The 21-year-old enjoyed a good run of form at the Italian club in the previous campaign when he put in a run of impressive displays for them in the final third. Paz banged in 13 goals and picked up eight assists in 40 appearances for Como last season across all fronts.

The Argentine sensation is currently one of the best young playmakers in Serie A. Thus, it is no surprise that Spurs are trying to sign him in this transfer window.

His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Tottenham to land him on the cheap later this year.

Tottenham Hotspur Are Keeping A Keen Eye On Paz: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Paz is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third.

The Argentine whizkid added a lot of goals and assists to his game last season. Paz is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a box-to-box midfielder or as a striker if asked to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to get him on board in this transfer period.

Paz would bring more quality and depth to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack in the long run. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.

At 21, the future looks quite bright for Paz as long as he continues to improve with each year. He will also help Tottenham get back to challenging for a European spot in the Premier League. Paz is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Spurs would do well to get a deal done for him this summer.
