Roberto De Zerbi is keen to add directness to his attack, with the recruitment team at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium exploring multiple options in an increasingly volatile transfer market.
Spurs are eyeing a move fo Savinho and have reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with the 22-year-old Brazilian.
However, finalising a deal with Manchester City has proved difficult, with City demanding a fee in the region of £60 million. As a result, Spurs are also closely monitoring Summerville, as the 24-year-old Dutch winger is seen as an ideal fit for De Zerbi’s tactical system.
With explosive acceleration and the ability to threaten Premier League defences from either flank, the ‘almost unstoppable’ Summerville finished last season with seven goals and three assists across all competitions.
Following West Ham’s recent relegation, he is understood to be pushing for a high-profile move away from the London Stadium.
With Manchester United also interested, West Ham are seeking a fee of around £50 million for their star asset—a substantial figure, but still lower than Manchester City’s demands for Savinho.
No formal offer has yet been submitted to West Ham, as Tottenham remain focused on finalising a deal for Savinho.
However, by opening talks with West Ham, Spurs have sent a subtle hint to Manchester City that they are prepared to walk away from negotiations if no compromise can be reached.
