Tottenham Hotspur continue their pre-season preparations against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Thomas Frank’s side earned a morale-boosting win over Arsenal earlier this week, as Spurs took bragging rights in the first North London derby staged outside the UK. Pape Sarr’s brilliant goal from distance secured a 1-0 in Hong Kong.
Next up is a clash with Newcastle, as two of last season’s Champions League qualifiers go head-to-head. The fixture will see Son Heung-min return to his homeland with the World Cup Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, the venue.
Mohammed Kudus remains the only senior signing of the summer so far and has looked lively in his opening appearances. Spurs are continuing to work on more arrivals, with a medical scheduled for Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha. Interest also remains in Brentford forward Yoane Wissa.
The North London side remain without Radu Dragusin, Destiny Udogie and Dejan Kulusevski, though Thomas Frank has confirmed that Dominic Solanke is ‘close’ to returning from an ankle issue.
“He’s close, if not for Sunday then he should be fit to play against Bayern (August 7th),” the Spurs boss said.
Tottenham predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Tel, Son.
Tottenham face Newcastle in a pre-season friendly in Seoul on Sunday 3rd August 2025. Kick-off is 12:00pm BST.
The game will not be televised in the UK.
Both sides are streaming the fixture via in-house channels. Spurs will broadcast the game on SPURSPLAY, where an annual subscription costs £45. The match will also be available pay-per-view on Newcastle’s NUFC TV channel.
