Thomas Frank is weighing up a back-three system when Tottenham travel to face Manchester City today.
The Spurs boss went for that approach against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup and it worked successfully, with his side 2-0 up against the Champions League holders with five minutes remaining.
There was enough in that performance to suggest Frank will turn to the formation again for the toughest matches and he hinted at his pre-match press conference that he could make that decision.
“I treat every game a little bit different, but it’s definitely in my mind the 3-5-2,” Frank.
“It’s [also] definitely in my mind the 4-2-3-1 and I will take a decision on what we do and you’ll see that tomorrow.”
Should he opt for the 3-5-2, Kevin Danso is likely to come in alongside Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Palhinha both started on the bench against Burnley last weekend but are set to feature here, with their experience and ball-winning capabilities much-needed against this City side.

With James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski out injured, and Spurs missing out on the signing of Eberechi Eze, it is likely to fall on Pape Matar Sarr to provide the energy as the most advanced midfielder.
Up front, Dominic Solanke has now had two cameos off the bench as he builds towards full fitness, but Richarlison has been in superb form and scored a brace against Burnley, including a stunning scissor kick.
The Brazilian will therefore hope to keep his place in the starting line-up, with Mohammed Kudus shifting into a central role to support.
Yves Bissouma remains unavailable and Destiny Udogie is also still out, but the full-back is nearing a return to action.
“Destiny is better,” Frank said. “He's trained with the team twice, full trainings, and also other trainings.
“Just too short to be involved for City. We want him to train tomorrow and have another good week next week as well, but he's in a good place. Looks very positive about him.”
Tottenham predicted XI (3-5-2): Vicaro; Danso, Romero, Van de Ven; Porro, Bentancur, Palhinha, Sarr, Spence; Kudus, Richarlison
Injured: Dragusin, Udogie, Takai, Bissouma, Maddison, Kulusevski, Solomon
