According to L'Équipe, Toulouse will face Lens in the Coupe de France semi-final on Tuesday at 21:10 without the suspended Yann Gboho and Mark McKenzie.

The trip to Stade Bollaert comes four days after a 2-3 Ligue 1 defeat at the same venue, with Toulouse now chasing a second final in three years. They won the 2022-2023 edition 5-1 against Nantes on 29 April 2023.

Gboho was sent off on Friday against Lens and could be replaced by Santiago Hidalgo in the starting XI. Teenager Seny Koumbassa, 18, should continue in central defence.

Head coach Carles Martinez Novell acknowledged the difficulties, saying his team arrive with problems but that cup ties can open any possibility. He added that Toulouse would try to bridge what he described as a theoretical gap to Lens, and that both sides start with the same chance of reaching the final.

He also framed the occasion as the most exciting rather than the most important, stressing ambition over obligation. Toulouse are 11th in the league with four matches remaining, leaving little to hope or fear there.
