Africasoccer.com reports that Trabzonspor have opened exploratory talks with Lazio over Fisayo Dele-Bashiru this window.

The Super Lig club are said to have made initial contact to gauge the terms of a potential deal for the 24-year-old Nigeria international as interest gathers pace.

Lazio are understood to value the midfielder between €15 million and €20 million, approximately £12.7 million to £16.9 million, reflecting his age profile and a contract that runs to June 2028.

Trabzonspor are not believed to be alone in monitoring the situation. Premier League sides Nottingham Forest and Sunderland are keeping a watching brief as his stock rises. While his market value is estimated at about €6.5 million, roughly £5.5 million, the higher price is said to reflect his versatility, physical attributes and perceived upside, as well as the length of his deal.

At this stage, discussions remain exploratory and there is no agreement. The number of reported suitors means Lazio could soon have to decide whether to keep him or sell if their valuation is met.
