Transfer: Burkinabé talent set to join Lorient!
Young Burkinabé talent Martin Nogoto Bley is on the verge of entering France’s Ligue 1. The attacking midfielder, renowned for his fighting spirit and sharp vision on the pitch, is set to join FC Lorient. A final agreement has been reached.
The last hurdles to this transfer appear to have been cleared. According to Africa Foot, Martin Nogoto Bley has successfully passed his medical and the two clubs have come to terms. A two-year contract with an option for a further year is expected to be signed in the coming hours.
The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. Nogoto has also yet to receive a market valuation from specialized platforms such as Transfermarkt.

Martin Nogoto Bley actually began his career at the New Stars Academy in Ouagadougou. He was loaned to Etoile Filante de Ouagadougou (EFO), where he discovered Burkina Faso’s first division in 2022. Over the course of two seasons, he was the mastermind and playmaker in EFO’s midfield. His football intelligence and technical skills allowed him to become a key player for Burkina Faso’s youth national teams.
His arrival at Lorient will give him the chance to reunite with a familiar face, Arsène Kouassi, his former teammate at New Stars.
