Transfer window: mixed fortunes for the registrations of Guido and Unai Núñez | OneFootball

Valencia face a pivotal spell in the season with contrasting registration updates. Guido Rodríguez is in, Unai Núñez is still awaiting clearance.

According to Superdeporte, the Argentine midfielder has been officially registered in LaLiga and is eligible from the next league game against Real Betis at La Cartuja. Carlos Corberán can select him immediately.

After his spell with Real Betis, he is expected to bring balance, authority and defensive security to a role Valencia needed to strengthen. His knowledge of the competition should help organise play from deep.

The timing matters, with a demanding February ahead. Valencia visit Benito Villamarín in LaLiga, host Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals, then face Real Madrid, Levante at the Ciutat de València and Villarreal at La Cerámica.

Núñez has arrived on loan from Hellas Verona but is not yet listed by LaLiga. The club are confident the administrative step will be completed shortly, with the aim of having him available for Betis at La Cartuja. Early integration is the target.

Centre-back depth has been hit by injuries and inconsistency, so his top-flight and European experience could prove valuable. Both additions fit Corberán’s push for a sturdier, more competitive squad.

Valencia plan to present both players at Mestalla this Tuesday at 12 midday, offering a first public introduction.
