Twente have made contact with Marseille over a transfer for Jeffrey De Lange, who has served as the club’s back-up goalkeeper.

According to L'Équipe, the Eredivisie side want to bring back their former player after finishing fourth last season, a position that secured a Europa League qualifying place.

De Lange has spent the past two seasons as understudy to Geronimo Rulli and wants to become a starter again.

The 28-year-old is under contract with Marseille until 2027 and could leave in the coming days.

He was monitored by Lille last summer.
