A pair of up-and-coming members of the youth setup at La Liga giants Barcelona were afforded call-ups to first-team training on Thursday.
This comes amid ongoing preparations for Barca’s return to action this weekend.
With the international break having come to a close, the attentions of those behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital have now begun to turn towards Sunday evening.
Fresh off a flawless opening to the campaign, the Blaugrana are set to make the short trip to the Estadi Montilivi, for a La Liga showdown with neighbours Girona.
Amid the absence of a number of leading players owing to their respective endeavours on the international front, Hansi Flick, across the week to date, opted to call up a number of breakthrough La Masia talents to senior training.
And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, this proved the case once more.
As showcased in the photo below, highly-regarded pair Guille Fernández and Alexis Olmedo were both handed a fresh chance to impress alongside Barca’s senior stars earlier today:
