City won’t take any chances with the fitness of Doku and Stones.

There are several players unavailable for tomorrow’s match for Manchester City. John Stones, Jeremy Doku, Mateo Kovacic and possibly Oscar Bobb are ruled out of the match against Nottingham Forest due to injury. Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait-Nouri are away on international duty. Despite Rodri being a chance to return there are still a host of players unavailable for Pep Guardiola’s side.

In the case of John Stones and Jeremy there is no need to rush either player back before they are ready. The pair have a history of injury issues and City won’t want to take any risks with the pair. Doku has become a key player for his team on the left wing. John Stones adds experience and his ability to drift in midfield from defence is important to this City side. Losing either player for a longer period of time would be a blow for Manchester City. So playing it safe with their returns from injury is the smartest option.

John Stones and Jeremy Doku have both been ruled out of Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest. But their return to the pitch isn’t too far away based on Pep Guardiola’s latest update on their fitness.
