Johannes Moser, who was the the top scorer at the recent U17 World Cup, has signed a contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg! The Austrian talent, who recently turned 18, is transferring from FC Liefering to our Red Bulls, where he will be under contract until 30 June 2030.

The attacking midfielder came to the Red Bull Academy in Salzburg from his home region of Carinthia in the summer of 2021, and initially played for the U16 and U18 teams. Following the Salzburg Way, he then made appearances for our U19 team in the UEFA Youth League (4 appearances, 1 goal) and for our partner club FC Liefering (13 appearances, 1 goal).
Moser made a name for himself last November at the U17 World Cup in Qatar, alongside his young Austrian national teammates. He scored eight times as Austria made the final, becoming the tournament's top scorer and voted second-best player.
Johannes Moser will continue to play for FC Liefering as a co-operation club player until further notice.
We are delighted that Johannes has decided to continue his journey at FC Red Bull Salzburg, knowing full well that there was interest from several clubs around the world after the U17 World Cup. We are absolutely convinced of his talent and will therefore give him the necessary time to develop and will not put any pressure on him, also because we have to objectively assess his strong performance at the World Cup and the resulting euphoria. He has our full support to continue his path here at FC Red Bull Salzburg.
Marcus Mann, Managing Director for Sport
The move to FC Red Bull Salzburg is a big step for me and a fantastic opportunity that I am very much looking forward to. I am excited about the coming months and am ready to give everything for the club to succeed.
