AC Milan take on Udinese away from home on Serie A matchday 32. Kick-off at the Bluenergy Stadium is at 20:45 CEST on Friday 11 April. Following the draw with Fiorentina at home, Sérgio Conceição's team want to get back to winning ways and get closer to the teams above them. The Bianconeri, coached by Kosta Runjaić, are comfortably in midtable but have lost all of their last three games. The two teams have different aims but both need a win; so, the game in Udine is sure to be hard-fought and intense. Let's prepare for kick-off with our Match Preview.
LATEST FROM MILANELLO AC Milan go into it hoping to get back to winning ways following the 2-2 draw with Fiorentina at San Siro. The comeback displayed the Rossoneri's character, but they came away knowing that they need to improve in their remaining games this season. In the standings, AC Milan remain in the hunt for European football, but every slip-up could prove costly. Long-term absentees Loftus-Cheek and Emerson Royal are unavailable for the game in Udine, as are Santi Gimenez and Kyle Walker. Up top, we could see Luka Jović, who has scored in both of his last two appearances.
Sergio Conceição in his pre-match press conference: "We need to learn to focus from the first minute. We cannot always be chasing the game. I want to be compact and solid for the full 90 minutes. We're not looking at the table; we just need to concentrate on the game. We've had a good week, and I want to see that on the pitch. I like a 4-4-2, but we need more balance. We can be effective with just one up top as well. Gimenez and Walker are out, we need to manage Florenzi."
LATEST FROM UDINESE Udinese are preparing to host AC Milan but aren't in any great need of points. The Bianconeri, following consecutive defeats at the hands of Genoa, Inter and Hellas Verona, are out of sorts and want a response in front of their home crowd. Runjaić's men have shown solidity in the form of centre-backs Solet and Bijol but continue to struggle up front, where the quality of Lorenzo Lucca (10 goals) hasn't been enough to make up for a midfield, which lacks balance. They also have plenty of absentees in attack: Thauvin, Davies and Sánchez. They have no suspensions.
Runjaić ahead of the game: "If we'd drawn against Hellas Verona and Genoa, we'd be talking about a different game, but we all know how good AC Milan are. We need to be at our best. We have some big players missing, but we have alternatives. I prefer a striker who tries, even if he misses: Lucca will get chances tomorrow. Solet knows he can do better; we expect a big performance from him."
