FC Bayern are heading into a decisive phase of the season – and the goals are clearly defined. Three titles are still possible for the record champions, and the tension at Säbener Straße is correspondingly high. Chief Sports Officer Max Eberl has now made it clear what will be important in the coming weeks

After the strong 2:1 victory in the Champions League quarter-finals at Real Madrid and a comfortable starting position in the Bundesliga, Munich are on course. However, despite the promising situation, Eberl warns against carelessness and demands full concentration until the end of the season

Eberl senses the tension in the title race

In an interview with Sky, the 52-year-old described the current situation in impressive terms: „It’s fun, without question. Nevertheless, we are naturally under tension every three days.“ The strain is enormous at this stage – both physically and mentally

Eberl made it clear that this tension is part of the success. „I was under tension at the Bernabéu, I am at the Millerntor and I will be again on Wednesday,“ he explained with a view to the intense sequence of matches. For the Bayern boss, one thing is clear: only those who remain focused in these moments can ultimately win the big titles

Focus as the key to success

In the Bundesliga in particular, Eberl sees no reason to sound the all-clear yet – despite the comfortable lead. The competition, especially Borussia Dortmund, continues to be consistent: „You can see it, Dortmund hardly lose a game in the league, they don’t concede much.“

For Munich, this means that every point counts if they are to clinch the championship with confidence, while the DFB Cup and Champions League still present major challenges that require maximum concentration

However, Eberl is not only looking at the current season, but also at the long-term development of the club. „The path we have taken so far is a good one,“ he emphasized, expressing his conviction in the course the club has taken

This approach should not only bring short-term success, but also keep FC Bayern at the top of Europe in the future: „It gives us a good feeling that the path is working, that we can be successful – and not just this season, but also in the years to come.“

The message is clear: FC Bayern is on course for the title – but it will be crucial to maintain focus until the final matchday.
