According to BILD, Torino's Valentino Lazaro is considering a move this winter, with 1.FC Union Berlin said to be in the mix.
The 29-year-old has been playing in Italy for several years, but is apparently looking for a change of scenery.
Despite being a regular starter in Turin, he's reportedly unhappy, and Union Berlin wants to seize the opportunity to sign the Austrian.
With Lazaro's contract set to expire in 2026, the fee should be modest and could provide cover for Christopher Trimmel on the right flank.
Since Croatian wing-back Josip Juranovic has repeatedly struggled with injuries over the last year, there's a gap of opportunity there.
Lazaro is still hopeful of making the World Cup squad for Austria and therefore needs to draw attention to himself.
He previously featured in 79 Bundesliga games for Hertha BSC and Borussia Mönchengladbach where he bagged 7 goals and 12 assists.
