In a recent report, Fichajes offered an update on Manchester United and their pursuit of Real Madrid keeper Andriy Lunin. It has been stated that the Red Devils have seen their first offer for the Ukrainian goalie get rejected by Los Blancos.
The 26-year-old served as a good, rotational piece in Real Madrid’s match-day squad last season and managed to put in a few impressive displays in La Liga. Lunin made 14 appearances for the Madrid outfit in the previous campaign, conceding 19 goals and keeping six clean sheets on all fronts.
The Ukraine international has struggled to earn regular first-team starts in Spain. Thus, it makes sense for him to opt for a change of scenery this summer in search of more game time in the coming years.
Lunin is under contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium until the summer of 2030 which would make it difficult for Man United to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Lunin is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make a few crucial saves for his team at the back. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when being chased down by the opposition attackers.
Standing at 1.91m, the Ukrainian sensation is a strong presence in the air as well and doesn’t hesitate when coming out to collect crosses and loose balls inside his penalty area. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if Man United manage to bring him on board in this summer transfer window.
At 26, Lunin has his peak years ahead of him which makes him a decent choice for the Red Devils to consider this summer. He would no doubt enhance the quality of Ruben Amorim’s backline and might serve as an upgrade to Andre Onana who struggled to find consistency with his performances at Old Trafford last season.
With all things considered, the Mancunian giants would be wise to go back in with another offer for Lunin as he could help them compete for a European spot in the Premier League over the next few years.
