Days are passing and Corberán still does not have his full squad available for a crucial trip to Mallorca, where Valencia CF will try to upset Son Moix. Three training sessions remain before the team head to the Balearics, with some players ruled out and others still in contention.

According to Superdeporte, injuries have battered the back line all season. Diakhaby and Foulquier are out for the rest of the campaign and Cömert has recently been ruled out of the next games, while Copete is fighting to be ready for May. Only Tárrega is a certain pick and they will push to have Unai Núñez, who is hoped could partner the academy centre-back.

Núñez, the Basque defender, has not played since the defeat to Celta on the fifth. He has been training apart from the group, but on the grass. Hugo Duro is in a similar situation and could also make the matchday squad.

Such is the commitment that injured players reported to Paterna on Thursday despite a scheduled day off. Both are improving physically, but time is against them with a midweek round and Valencia CF playing on Tuesday. Their recovery is on plan, yet late fitness calls are expected for a vital LaLiga survival fixture.

Beyond Rubo, who will travel to Mallorca, the reserve side offers further options. Alejandro Panach debuted in the Copa del Rey against much lower-tier opposition, then did not continue. Joel Fontanet, recently renewed, has been named in several squads but is still awaiting his debut.
