Valencia arrived on a roll, with five wins from eight in the second half of the campaign, but fell 1-0 at Real Oviedo’s Carlos Tartiere.

Superdeporte’s player ratings painted a bleak picture, with low marks across the board on LaLiga EA Sports matchday 28.

Dimitrievski was given five, with little to do and scant blame. Thierry received three after an early booking and positional lapses, then almost gifted a goal on 57 minutes and apologised. Cömert and Unai Núñez both earned five, while Gayà also took five after pushing on more after the interval without joy.

In midfield, Guido Rodríguez was marked at five and a half, covering ground but often late in the first half. Javi Guerra had four after flashes before the break, and Ugrinic also four for a long-range effort.

Ramazani was handed three, largely a spectator for the Oviedo goal. Danjuma’s two summed up a flat night, hardly strengthening his case for a start. Sadiq managed three and a half, stumbling and offering little.

From the bench, Hugo Duro earned four for industry without service, and Almeida four with more intent than execution. Rioja’s five reflected tireless work. Diego López took four for overexcitement, while Lucas Beltrán’s five showed fight and purpose.
